Today I woke up without the SPLAT! Talent Showcase hanging over my head.
It’s a mixed feeling, really.
I’ll miss these kids. :( they’re all so adorable, in a warped way haha. So mischievious, but so adorable. I hope they all had a positive impact from this and it has changed their lives one way or another. I wish for the best for everyone of them! (Except WK LOL. jkjk, him too.)
There’s these sighs of relief, knowing that it’s over already (AND SUCCESSFUL, TO BOOT!). No more templates to follow, meetings to sit through, emails to check.. Well I felt so happy when i went into my gmail today :D i had 4 emails and none of them were SPLAT! TS related! :D HAHA Omgosh I have to go italicise the SPLAT! at the end of this post heh. Have gained so much experience from event management. So many things to take into consideration, doing thorough checks, protocols to follow, etc. And I wonder if this really is the beginning of my journey into the social sector. Oh but trust me, the clearing up and the saikang is -_- haha I reached home at 1am.
Remember how I said CIP is rewarding? Well, there’s nothing more rewarding in going through the process of a project, right from ground up.
I would not have made it possible if not for my befrienders :) Faith, Jia Wen, Rachel, Ruth, Hwee Jian, Dave, Joyan, Kylie, Jessica, Syazana. On event day I saw some of them taking charge on their initiative and I’m moved by what I saw.
AND I’M SO GRATEFUL TO GAYLE, SIYI AND YIJUN <3 love them for coming through for me :) I really would not have been able to do it without their help :D
I’m also grateful to Nick for helping me whenever I needed! Things were alot easier with him around. As well as Mr Isha!
As for the TSCC, we’ve been through so much together. Junwei, because we’ve been in this together from the start. And Grace, because without whom the show would not have been a success at all! And Joycelin, for being the reliable one everyone could count on :D hehe I realised in the end I didnt work with joy alot, more of with grace :D Hope we get a nice treat tog soon!! :D Dom said he wants this whole TSCC to go and work with him again next time, even if its in the year 2012, he still wants everyone in. Yeah. It’s nice to know that. LOL.
I can sleep easier now :D
Oh wait I can’t, having sleepover later :P WHEEEEEEEEE
